Idahoans Deserve Fair Access to Wildlife ResourcesPress Release July 6, 2016
BOISE - Two Idaho Fish and Game Commissioners, whose terms will soon expire, are not being reappointed by the Governor. They are among those who fought plans by some Republican legislators to lock up and sell off our wildlife resources to the highest bidder. If I am re-elected to the Senate, I will only vote to confirm replacement commissioners who demonstrate they are willing and able to manage our wildlife for the benefit of all Idahoans, and resist the political pressure coming out of the Statehouse.
Certain wealthy landowners, and their legislative allies, think they are entitled to profit from Idahos wildlife resources and put them beyond our reach. That is the same thing they want to do with our public landsseize them, lock them up and sell them off to the highest bidders. We must fight back and elect legislative candidates who will fight for us, what is ours and what is right. ###
